Hand made gates from matched hand cut boards

Hand made rustic gates from selected, part seasoned  English Ash

These pairs of five rail gates are made from boards which are hand cut and then arranged each side of the centre line.
Hand cut mortice and tenon joints are held tight with either stainless steel coach screws or wooden pegs.

These gates are about 3' 6" high and cost  £200 per foot of width.

These untreated gates have now weathered to a natural silver/grey colour.

These gates with vertical slats are suitable for a single opening.

The slats are arranged in matching pairs.

Made from untreated coppiced Sycamore or Field Maple

The tall gates are about 60" high and will cost  £150 per foot of width.

The short gates are about 36" tall and cost £120 per foot of width with slats cut flat on both sides, and £100 per foot of width with the slats left rounded on one side

All gates will be made to measure, to order, with a lead time of about two weeks. They can be left untreated to weather naturally, or be treated with clear Cuprinol preservative.

The prices include hinges, but not posts, delivery or fitting.
